The Google Pixel 5 is coming in the near future, and its key specifications have just been surfaced. The device has surfaced on the AI benchmark, and shared its processor and RAM information.
Key Google Pixel 5 specifications benchmark confirms Snapdragon 765G SoC
According to this benchmark, which dates to today (August 11), the Google Pixel 5 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 765G. That goes hand-in-hand with all the information that we’ve been seeing for the last couple of months.
It seems like Google will avoid using the Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 865 Plus altogether this year. The Snapdragon 765G is not as powerful, but it does support 5G, and Google seems to think it’s more than enough for the Pixel 5.
This phone will be marketed as a flagship device, no doubt about that. Some people may resent Google for not including a flagship processor, but keep in mind this chip will allow Google to offer a lower price tag than it usually would.
Now, in addition to the Snapdragon 765G, the Pixel 5 will also include 8GB of RAM. That piece of information is also included here. It is possible that we’ll see more than one RAM variant of the device, though, of course.
The device will become official in the Fall of 2020
That is pretty much all the information that this AI benchmark shared. The Google Pixel 5 is expected to arrive in the Fall of 2020. Some rumors suggested it’ll get announced as early as October, and that’s still a possibility.
The Google Pixel 4a was quite late when it comes to launching, so it remains to be seen if the Pixel 5 gets affected by that. As things stand right now, the Pixel 5 will arrive, but not the Pixel 5 XL.
It seems like Google plans to announce only one Pixel 5 this year. The Pixel 4a 5G will arrive, though, and it will offer a larger display than the Pixel 4a. On top of that, it will also support 5G connectivity.
The Google Pixel 5 is still a mystery, though. We do have some key specifications for the Pixel 5 now, but the phone’s design remains a mystery. The rest of its specs as well.
Google will hopefully include an ultrawide camera this time around. We’re also hoping that a fingerprint scanner will also get included, but there’s no guarantee for that.
Android 11 will come pre-installed on the device, while the phone is likely to include a display camera hole. The device will almost certainly be made out of metal and glass.
