New Look For Google Assistant Settings Page Rolling Out On Android

Google is now rolling out a new look of the Google Assistant Settings page for all the users on Android. Google has been implementing new features and changes to its assistant to make it more equipped.

And now, this new Settings page not only brings a new look but also some more tweaks to the table for Google Assistant. The update is rolling out widely for the users.

Notably, the new Google Assistant Settings page look is visible in the version 11.23.11.29 of the Google app. So, before checking out whether you have the new look available for you, you might want to update your Google app with the said version.

However, we expect that this is a server-side update, and it is not related to any specific version. Meaning that if you did not get the new Settings, look for Google Assistant even with the said version then, probably the server-side update is on its way.

The new page will display cards to highlight key features, like adding contacts, etc.

Well, as per 9to5Google, the search filed above all the Settings query has been removed. And now the new Settings page shows key features like adding contacts and more.

“Manage your Google Account” and “Your data in the Assistant” shortcut buttons are placed below the user’s profile picture. The user’s email address is placed below the profile picture as well.

You can make use of the “Manage your Google Account” button to switch between your Google accounts. A more unified list of options is now included instead of preferences being grouped into four tabs.

Apparently, there are five options in this unified section which include, Routines, Language options, Basic info, Voice match, You, Devices, and choosing a default music service.

The You and Device sections are highlighted to manage personal and linked devices

The “You” and “Device” section has been highlighted prominently. The “Device” page has now been revamped, and it shows items as Home and Personal. While the “You” page shows options to manage personal information.

If you are using more than one Android device, then it will be grouped with a question mark icon. Though it might be buggy, it is a nice place to know all of your linked Android devices.

There is a “View all or less settings” collapsable option which can hide less popular settings in the interface. All Settings show all the options in alphabetical order. Keep in mind that there are a total of 34 menus.

Meanwhile, a new General menu includes controls like “Use screen context” and “Donate screen captures”. These options were previously found under the Phone option.
