New OnePlus Nord Update Improves Bluetooth, Camera & Battery Life

OnePlus has started rolling out a new update for the OnePlus Nord, and this update improves the phone’s Bluetooth and camera performance. On top of that, battery life has also been improved, it seems.

This update is marked as OxygenOS 10.5.6, and it comes in IN, EU, and Global variants, depending on your region. The update is rolling out OTA (over the air) as we speak.

Do note that this is a stated update. That means that some of you may receive it really soon, while others will have to wait a bit. The update should be available to everyone within a week or so, if everything goes according to plan.

Forcing the update via a VPN probably won’t work. The company seems to be rolling it out on random to OnePlus Nord users in all mentioned regions.

This OnePlus Nord update brings various optimizations, including camera & battery life improvements

There are exactly four entries in the changelog. The very first one mentions improved system stability. OnePlus probably squashed a number of smaller bugs in order to improve OnePlus Nord performance.

The second entry has to do with the camera. The company says that it improved image stabilization on the device. That should result in better images overall, though it remains to be seen if it’s a drastic change.

General power consumption has been improved. In other words, the OnePlus Nord should be able to provide better battery life as a result. This is probably not a big change, though, so keep that in mind.

The OnePlus Nord’s battery life has been good from the get-go, but if the company can improve it further, I’m sure nobody will complain. Such improvements are always welcomed.

The last entry in this changelog regards the phone’s Bluetooth. OnePlus says that it improved Bluetooth connection stability on the OnePlus Nord. If you had any Bluetooth-related issues, those should become a thing of the past once you update.

The device received quite a few updates thus far

The OnePlus Nord has been out for a short time now, and yet OnePlus released quite a few updates for it. The company has a habit of tweaking things when a phone launches in order to optimize it to the best of its ability.

That is something it has been doing for its flagships for years, and it seems like the ‘Nord’ is no exception. OnePlus is allegedly planning to release some additional budget phones in the near future, so stay tuned. On top of that, the OnePlus 8T series is coming.
