Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy M51. The company silently announced this smartphone, as the device got listed on the company’s website in Germany.
The device is exactly what we expected, as we’ve seen quite a few leaks and rumors regarding it. The device features really thin bezels, though its bottom bezel is a hair thicker than the rest.
It has a display camera hole, and that hole is centered. A flat display is included on the device, and so is a side-facing fingerprint scanner. There are four cameras included on the back, and they barely protrude on the back.
A huge battery is one of the main feature of the Samsung Galaxy M51
One of the main features of this phone is its battery, for sure. The device packs in a 7,000mAh battery on the inside. That battery does support fast charging, you can utilize 25W fast wired charging.
The phone sports a 6.7-inch fullHD+ Super AMOLED display. It is fueled by a 64-bit octa-core processor, which is unnamed on the website, but it should be the Snapdragon 730 or 730G SoC.
This smartphone also comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. You can expand that internal storage, if you want, all you need is a microSD card.
Now, as we already mentioned, there are four cameras on the back. A 64-megapixel unit is the phone’s main camera (f/1.8 aperture). A 12-megapixel unit is the device’s ultra-wide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 123-degree FoV).
A 5-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.2 aperture) is also included, and so is a 5-megapixel macro camera (f/2.4 aperture). A 32-megapixel selfie shooter is also a part of the package.
The phone does come with Night Camera mode, and it also packs in a Pro Mode. So you’re well-covered in the camera department, on the software side, at least.
Samsung’s One UI Core skin comes pre-installed here, which is quite interesting
Now, Android 10 does come pre-installed on this device, but the phone does not ship with One UI 2.0, 2.1, or 2.5. It comes with One UI Core, which is essentially Samsung’s skin for lower-end phones.
That is actually quite an interesting choice by Samsung, and an unexpected one. This phone seems to be more than capable to run One UI 2.5, so we’re not sure why Samsung went down this road.
The phone comes in Black and White colors, and it’s priced at €360 in Germany. The device is now available to pre-order from the company’s official website. This phone will be available in a number of other markets.
