Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G are now available from Samsung.com, Best Buy, as well as the carriers – AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.
This time around, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is going to be available on all of the carriers, instead of just AT&T.
The price is going to be $1999, from every retailer and carrier. There is only one variant too, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Each carrier is offering their own promotions with the Galaxy Z Fold 2, which are detailed below.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes in two colors: Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black. You can also customize the hinge with four different colors: Metallic Red, Metallic Blue, Metallic Silver, and Metallic Gold.
Verizon
Those that opt to pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold 2 from Verizon will be able to get up to $550 off when you add a line and trade-in your old smartphone on a Premium Unlimited Plan (that includes Above, Beyond, Do, Play and Get plans).
Additionally, if you switch over to Verizon, you’ll get a $150 Verizon eGift Card when you purchase the Galaxy Z Fold 2 on their payment plan.
If you choose to upgrade to the Galaxy Z Fold 2, you’ll get $250 off. But you do still need to trade in your old smartphone on a Premium Unlimited Plan.
Finally, you can get 25% off all Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G cases, screen protectors and charging accessories, during the pre-order period. These include accessories from Gear4, Zagg and Samsung.

AT&T
AT&T isn’t offering anything special for the Galaxy Z Fold 2, but you can get it for $66.67/month for 30 months on AT&T NEXT. Pre-orders start on September 2, and will be available online and in-store on September 18.
Keep in mind that 5G is included at no extra charge on all of its 5G plans. And with the Unlimited Elite Plan, you get HBO MAX included at no extra charge.

T-Mobile
T-Mobile is also selling the Galaxy Z Fold 2, and it’ll be available in Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze.
It has not yet confirmed whether it will be offering any deals for the device, like a BOGO. Which is what T-Mobile normally does for new phones. Pre-orders open on September 2.

Best Buy
Best Buy is also selling the Galaxy Z Fold 2, and like the carriers, you won’t be able to get the custom hinges from Best Buy. That is only available through Samsung.com.
The retailer is selling the Verizon and unlocked models. Verizon’s will cost you $83.33 per month, the same as Verizon would charge you. The unlocked one is going for $1949 if you activate it today. That’s without any trade-ins. Probably not the biggest discount, but still worth it, if you are looking to sell your old phone (you may get more money that way, rather than trading it in, if it is in good condition still).

Samsung.com
Over at Samsung.com, you can purchase the AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Unlocked models. All of which can be financed through Samsung as well.
Those that have the original Galaxy Fold or the Galaxy Z Flip, they can trade-in their device and get the Galaxy Z Fold 2 for just $25 per month, with up to $800 trade-in value. So Samsung is really “thanking” those early adopters of its first two foldable phones, if they do pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 2. As they can get the device for only $1199.
Those that are upgrading from other smartphones, can get up to $650 for their trade-in.
Another option that Samsung customers have is the Guaranteed Buyback program. Where you’ll have to pay 50% of the full retail price in 20 easy monthly payments. And then get 50% back once the device is returned in good condition.
Finally, the Thom Browne edition is going to be sold only through Samsung.com. The pre-orders for that edition are also available now, and general availability starts on September 25. The Thom Browne Edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 costs $3,299 and comes with a number of other products in the box (like the Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Buds Live and more).
