The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is now official. This is Xiaomi’s new flagship smartphone, and it was announced in China as the company’s 10th anniversary smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is the world’s first smartphone with 120W charging, by the way. Several companies announced 100W and 120W charging, but Xiaomi is the first one to announce the phone equipped with such charging.
That being said, the device does not include an under-display camera as some rumors indicated. It has a display camera hole in the top-left corner of its display.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is a beefed-up variant of the Mi 10 Pro
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is basically a beefed-up variant of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, as its name says. The device is made out of metal and glass, and one of its variants comes with a transparent glass back.
The phone offers extremely thin bezels, and a huge camera module on the back. There are four cameras included on the back, and the top one is a periscope camera. That camera offers 120x zoom, by the way.
That camera is the only one that is silver-colored, just to be highlighted. The other ones are black colored as part of the same camera module on the back. Xiaomi’s logo is present on the back of the device, while all of the phone’s physical keys are on the right.
This handset does come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, an optical one. The back side of the phone is curved, as is its display, which we’ll talk about in a second.
The Xiaomi MI 10 Ultra features a 6.67-inch fullHD+ (2340 x 1080) Super AMOLED display, just like the Mi 10. That display offers higher refresh rate, though, 120Hz or 144Hz (depending on the model) compared to 90Hz on the Mi 10.
The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 865 Plus, and it offers 120x camera zoom
This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 865 Plus 64-bit octa-core processor. It is the first smartphone from the company to come with that SOC, by the way.
The phone includes a 4,500mAh battery, and it supports 100W or 120W wired charging (depending on the variant), as already mentioned. The phone also supports 55W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging is supported as well.
The phone is equipped with a 48-megapixel main camera (2.4um pixel size, 4-in-1 binning, 6p lens, OIS, EIS). In addition to that, it packs in a 20-megapixel ultra-wide camera (128-degree wide-angle lens, 12mm lens, 2.5cm minimum focus distance for macro). A 12-megapixel portrait camera (2x optical zoom, 1.4um pixel size) can also be found here, and the same goes for a periscope camera which enables 120x zoom (1.6um pixel size, OIS, EIS, 5P lens).
The phone comes in three RAM and three storage variants, though four options overall. The most affordable option offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A bit more expensive model includes 256GB of storage, on the same amount of RAM.
A 12GB RAM variant of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is also available, and it comes with 256GB of storage. A 16GB RAM variant is the most expensive one, and it comes with 512GB of storage. The phone’s pricing starts at CNY5,299 ($763) in China. The most expensive model costs CNY6,999 ($1,007).
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra comes in Ceramic Black, Bright Silver, and Transparent Edition. The device measures 162.38 x 75.04 x 9.45mm. We’re still not sure if the phone will reach Europe, or any other market outside of China.
