The Google Pixel 5 price tag has been unofficially confirmed. This information comes from Jon Prosser, a tipster who is usually spot on with his leaks. He revealed this information via Twitter.
The Google Pixel 5 will cost $699 in the US, and it’s coming in a single variant
He literally mentioned that he’s 100-percent sure of this information, so there you have it. The Google Pixel 5 will cost $699 in the US, he revealed. We’re looking at a 128GB storage variant of the phone here.
That will be the only variant of the phone that gets released, at least according to leaks. That being said, the price tag for Canada has also been revealed, by Evan Blass, another well-known tipster.
He confirmed that this very same model will cost $799.99 CAD, which is the equivalent of $699 in the US. A couple of days ago, WinFuture did confirm that the phone will cost €629 in Europe. Well, that price is for Germany, but other European price tags should be close to that.
The Google Pixel 5 will become official on September 30. The company is expected to announce the Pixel 5, alongside the Pixel 4a 5G, and several other products. Those products will include some Nest-branded devices.
The Google Pixel 5 will not ship with a flagship SoC. The device will include the Snapdragon 765G 64-bit octa-core processor. That is one of Qualcomm’s best mid-range chips.
The device will feature thin bezels, a display camera hole, and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. An ultrawide camera will be included on the back, along with a 12.2-megapixel main unit.
The phone will include 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage
The device will include 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Its storage will not be expandable. Android 11 will come pre-installed on the device, while an 8-megapixel camera will sit on the front.
A 6-inch fullHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate will be included as well. It will be protected by the Gorilla Glass 6, by the way. The phone will offer a nano SIM port, in addition to an eSIM.
A 4,080mAh battery has also been mentioned, as did 18W fast wired charging. The phone is also expected to offer wireless charging, while we’re not sure about reverse (wireless) charging.
It will arrive in Black and Green color options, and Google will have some fancy names for both of those color options. The Green color will be applied only on the back of the device, the front (bezels) will remain black.
The Google Pixel 5 is expected to be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. We’re still not sure about build materials, though, as not even tipsters seem to be sure what’s going on. One thing seems to be confirmed, it will not be made out of plastic, at least not all the way around. If you’d like to know more about the device, check out our preview.
