If new information from Evan Blass is to be believed Huawei will not release the Huawei Mate 40 5G series device until 2021. There are several reasons to believe this piece of information.
Firstly, the clutches around Huawei has tightened by the US government. In fact, the company is not allowed to procure chipsets from its usual supplier, TSMC.
Besides, there is no information on whether MediaTek or Samsung has been granted permission to work with Huawei by the US government.
According to the leaker, Even Bliss’s latest tweet, the Huawei Mate 40 series 5G phones will not come this year. This also delays the potential launch of Huawei P50 series devices.
Notably, the Huawei P50 series phones were scheduled to arrive by March 2021. This is nothing new as previously Huawei delayed the launch of the Huawei Mate 30 series.
For the unaware, back in 2019, Huawei Mate 30 series launch was delayed in Europe by two months. And that is because of the Google software ban.
From September 15, Huawei will supply stockpiled components until they last
Well, the restrictions imposed on Huawei by the US restricts the Chinese OEM to get chips from suppliers. Without proper license and permission, no supplier would be able to work with Huawei.
This means that Huawei will continue to supply stockpiled components until they last. Moreover, the picture after that is not yet clear.
However, one important concern about the information is whether the delay is subjected to every country or only international markets.
Because if the latter is true, then the Huawei Mate 40 series could arrive in the home country of China, on time. Besides, as per Phonearena, Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants is tipped that the unveiling will take place in October.
Till things get clarified officially, nothing can be said and confirmed as of yet. So, stay tuned with AndroidHeadlines to stay updated on this matter.
Huawei will release HarmonyOS powered phone next year
Earlier we have reported that Huawei has officially confirmed that it will release several HarmonyOS powered products, including smartphones in 2021.
And if we can take the speculation game ahead, Huawei may bring Huawei Mate 40 series power by HarmonyOS. Keep in mind that the Huawei Mate 40 series will be powered by Kirin chipset.
And there is a huge possibility that we might see it come equipped with HarmonyOS instead of Android. Besides, the Chinese OEM recently took the wraps off its HarmonyOS 2.0.
It will be interesting to see whether Huawei takes the big shot and brings an established smartphone lineup with HarmonyOS or will release a different phone with HarmonyOS.
Nothing is confirmed, and these are mere speculations. And things might get clearer in the coming months. So, take this piece of information with a pinch of salt.
