Samsung Shows Off A Titanium Variant Of The Galaxy Watch 3

Samsung has announced a titanium variant of the Galaxy Watch 3. This variant of the company’s latest smartwatch got announced in Korea. The company did say that it will go on sale on September 18.

The company says that this is the first ‘Galaxy Watch’ smartwatch to use titanium as part of its build. It adds that titanium is a very light, and yet extremely durable material. This watch also comes with a premium metal strap, by the way.

The titanium variant of the Galaxy Watch 3 is quite pricey

This variant of the watch comes as a 45mm Bluetooth model in a Mystic Black color options. The company said that the watch is priced at 770,000 won, which translates to $653.

A special edition variant of this titanium Galaxy Watch 3 model is also coming. Samsung announced that it partnered with a premium golf brand, PXG, in order to make that happen.

It will sell a limited number of ‘Galaxy Watch 3 Titanium PXG Edition’ smartwatches, only 1,000 of them. This package comes with a PXG logo, two types of PXG golf equipment, two types of PXG exclusive straps, a charger, and a watch face.

This variant comes with a specially designed ball maker, and divot tools with the bezel of the Galaxy Watch 3 as a motif. A leather strap made out of premium leather will also be a part of the package.

This special edition variant of the watch is a bit more expensive, though. The Galaxy Watch 3 Titanium PXG Edition will set you back 990,000 won if you decide to get it, that translates to $839.

We’re not sure if any of these two variants will launch globally

We’re not sure if any of these two variants will become available outside of Korea, though. The main Titanium model may, but the PXG Golf edition probably will not, so keep that in mind.

The specs of this smartwatch, and its looks remain unchanged, other than the addition of a more premium build materials, of course. This smartwatch still features a 1.4-inch 360 x 360 display.

The watch comes with a 340mAh battery, while it is fueled by the Exynos 9110 dual-core SoC. Tizen OS 5.5 is included, and the watch features a 22mm watch band.

It includes 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Bluetooth 5.0 is supported, as is NFC. The watch is 5ATM rated, while it also has the MIL-STD-810G rating, which means you won’t have to baby it.

Samsung did not share any information regarding this watch’s global availability, so we’ll have to wait and see if it will leave South Korea or not. It would be nice to see it elsewhere, though.
