Tado has announced that it has launched a new range of products to add to its Smart Thermostat portfolio. The company has released its new Smart Thermostat Starter Kit. This also comes alongside the launch of their new Wireless Temperature Sensors.
Tado has also released its Care & Protect feature on its thermostats. This feature is designed to minimize boiler breakdowns by detecting faults.
Tado launches expanded Smart Thermostat portfolio
Tado claims that their expanded Smart Thermostat V3+ Starter Kits are compatible with 95% of heating systems. This allows integration with almost all boilers.
Tado has launched a wired and wireless version of the Smart Thermostat Starter Kit. This means that if your boiler in in a no wired room then you can still make use of the technology.
Alongside this Tado has also launched Wireless Temperature Sensors. These are designed with temperature and humidity detectors. They support the central control of multiple Smart Radiator Thermostats as many rooms as you like.
The inbuilt UI allows users to manually adjust the settings on the device itself rather than just see the temperature displayed. Temperature sensors can be placed wherever the owner wishes in the house. So wherever the temperature matters most is where they can go.
In terms of price these new Tado products are reasonably competitive. Compared to the echobee Smart Thermostat they come off nicely. They are also very reasonably priced compared the Google Nest Smart Thermostat.
The wired and wireless Smart Thermostat Starter Kits come in at £179.99/€199.99 and £199.99/€229.99 respectively. Whilst the Wireless Temperature Sensors will set you back £69.99/€79.99.
Tado also launches Care & Protect Feature
Alongside these new products Tado has also released a new Care & Protect feature to help users detect and fix boiler faults.
The feature monitors the heating system, providing users with information about the system’s performance and health. If the feature detects something unusual then the user will receive a notification on their smartphone.
The user can then use the self-fix guidance to try and rectify the problem. Here they will answer more questions about the system in order to try and work out a fix. Users can also book a professional to come and fix the problem if they so desire through this system.
Tado claims that this feature will help prevent boiler breakdowns before they actually occur. This is because the signs of most breakdowns go unnoticed and this feature will flag those issues before the become more serious.
In terms of price this feature, Tado will add this feature to the Auto-Assist subscription service the company offers. This service comes at cost of £2.99 per month or £24.99 a year but also comes alongside a number of other features.
