The Vivo Watch has been announced, and the OnePlus Watch may be inspired by this smartwatch. OnePlus and Vivo are sister companies, and tend to borrow designs and technology.
OnePlus is expected to announce its first smartwatch this year, according to rumors. That watch may look similar to the Vivo Watch. In fact, it may even look the same, but that is less likely.
A well-known tipster did confirm that the OnePlus Watch will feature a round design. Well, if the OnePlus Watch design ends up being based on this watch, that probably wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
The Vivo Watch is actually quite a nice-looking smartwatch. It looks quite sleek. It is made out of metal and ceramic, and it comes with your standard straps, so you can change those on the fly.
The Vivo Watch comes in two sizes, and they look a bit different in comparison
The company announced two size options for this smartwatch, 42 and 46mm variants have been announced. They don’t exactly look the same, actually. The 42mm variant has more pronounced buttons on the right, while the ones on the 46mm options are more subtle.
The 42mm model also doesn’t have numbers or anything imprinted on its front bezel, while the 46mm variant does. Truth be said, the 42mm model looks more minimal, while the 46mm model is more on the sporty side.
Both watches are equipped with blood oxygen monitoring, and have a heart rate sensor built-in. They can record sleep and stress, and also offer dynamic calorie monitoring.
Both watches are water resistant (5ATM rating), which means you can go below the water surface up to 50m, and up to 10 minutes. There are 11 sports modes included in this watch, while the watch comes with 2GB of built-in storage.
The smaller variant features a 1.1-inch 390 x 390 display, while the larger one comes with a 1.39-inch 454 x 454 display. Both of those are AMOLED panels, by the way.
Each of these watches have two processors on the inside
Both are equipped with an ST main processor, and Apollo low-power SoC. They do include your regular range of sensors, and its sport modes include: outdoor running, indoor running, outdoor walking, pool swimming, outdoor cycling, indoor cycling, mountain climbing, trail running, elliptical machine, HIIT, and free training.
Bluetooth 5.0 is included, as is an NFC chip. A 226mAh battery is included in the 42mm model of the watch. The larger model comes with a 478mAh battery. The smaller watch measures 42 x 42 x 9.7mm, while it weighs 35.6 grams (without strap). The larger one measures 46 x 46 x 10.6mm, and weighs 46.8 grams (without strap).
The Vivo Watch 42mm model comes in a dark gray case with an orange leather strap, and brown case with a light brown leather strap. The 46mm variant offers a light gray case with a dark brown leather strap, and a black case with a black rubber strap. So both are available in two options.
It is also worth noting that these watches do not run Wear OS, at least not in China, where they got announced. Both variants are priced at CNY1,299 ($191), and will become available in China starting on September 28.
