If you’ve been waiting to buy the Citation 200 speaker from Harman Kardon that was announced back at CES 2020 in January, you’re not alone.
This Google Assistant-powered speaker seems to have a lot to offer. No doubt Harman Kardon wants consumers to buy the Citation 200 as well. After all it is a company and companies need to make money to stay afloat.
Well the time to purchase this speaker is not far off for consumers. At least for consumers who live in the UK, because today Harman Kardon confirmed when it would go on sale in that region.
You can buy the Harman Kardon Citation 200 speaker in October
Sadly, there is no firm release date in October for the sale of the Citation 200 going live. Just that it will be in October.
The unfortunate detail is that according to Android Police, the only confirmed release window for the speaker is in the UK. So once October rolls around, UK consumers can pick it up.
There is a chance that it will launch in the US at the same time. But for now Harman Kardon has not confirmed a US release date.
As for how much the speaker will cost, in the UK it’ll retail for £299. If and when it releases in the US, $299 may very well be the price. Though it could also be different.

Just as a refresher, this speaker is powered by Google Assistant. So more than being a somewhat compact speaker from Harman Kardon, it also has smart features that let you interact with all of your smart home products.
This means you can talk to Google with this speaker and turn on/off your lights and any other appliance or device you have that links up to your home Wi-Fi network.
If what you’re after is just a Google Assistant-powered speaker though, there are a multitude of options out there. And plenty of them are available in the US. Such as the Acton II Voice and Stanmore II Voice from Marshall.
There’s also the Sonos One and plenty of others. All of which you can find in this list. That said, if you’re dead set on the Citation 200 from Harman Kardon, it appears that the month of October is when you can potentially expect to see it.
Whether or not availability will go beyond the UK is unknown at this point but if it does happen, next month is probably when that will be announced.
