Xiaomi will launch three new smartphones on September 30, the Mi 10T series. Xiaomi announced the news via its official social media channels. They will be announced during an online-only event.
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro launch event kicks off at 2 PM CET / 5 AM PST
This press event will kick off at 2 PM CET / 1 PM BST / 5 AM PST / 8 AM EST. The devices in question are almost certainly the Xiaomi Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, and Mi 10T Lite.
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro is expected to be a premium offering from the company. The ‘Lite’ model, on the other hand, will be a compelling budget option, if rumors are to be believed. The Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite is expected to cost less than €300, in fact.
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro did leak quite recently. Well, the phone’s partial spec sheet did leak, along with its price tag. Ice Universe reported that the device will cost €699.
Many would argue that is not a bad price tag considering what this device will bring to the table. It’s still quite a bit of money, though. The Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865 64-bit octa-core SoC. That is one of the two most powerful SoCs from Qualcomm.
The device will also pack in a display with a 144Hz refresh rate. That will be an LCD panel, if the leak is to be believed. We’re probably looking at a fullHD+ panel here, by the way.
A large battery will be included, along with a huge main camera sensor
Now, a 5,000mAh battery will also be included in the package. Needless to say, this is quite a large battery pack. We still do not know how large will the display be, but it’s probably going to be over 6.5 inches.
A 108-megapixel main camera has also been mentioned in the leak. That sensor almost certainly comes from Samsung, as it’s one of its ISOCELL camera sensors.
If the pricing info ends up being true, the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro will be considerably more expensive than its predecessor. The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro was priced at €450 when it launched last year.
Now, it’s not clear what design will Xiaomi use for this smartphone. There are two options, the company could utilize the Redmi K30 Pro design for this device. That would make sense, as the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro used the Redmi K20 Pro design last year.
On the flip side, we may get a different design with a single display camera hole included. A design that is similar to the Xiaomi MI 10, at least when it comes to the front side of the device.
One thing is for sure, the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro will be made out of metal and glass. The device will include multiple camera sensors on the back, and extremely thin bezels. It is unclear whether it will feature a flat or curved display, though. Android 10 will come pre-installed on these devices, with Xiaomi’s MIUI skin on top of it.
