Cyberpunk 2077 On Stadia Confirmed To Launch On November 19

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the games coming to Stadia that is highly anticipated and has been since it was revealed for the platform.

Today, the game’s publisher CD Projekt Red officially confirmed that it will launch on November 19. For Stadia this is a day and date launch with all other platforms where Cyberpunk 2077 is being released. That includes PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

This is not the first game to get a simultaneous release on Stadia either. DOOM Eternal launched back on March 20 of this year. And it released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on the same day. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be releasing day and date on Stadia as well.

All of these are big-budget games coming from AAA studios. And although Cyberpunk 2077 has been speculated to launch for Google’s cloud gaming platform at the same time as other platforms, it was never officially confirmed before today. This is big for Stadia and its user base.

Cyberpunk 2077 is already available for pre-order on Stadia

If you like to get a jump on things, you can pre-order the game on Stadia right this second. Or any time before the game launches on November 19. As with other platforms, the Stadia version retails for $59.99 in the US.

Pre-orders on Stadia weren’t always a thing. Google added the capability earlier this Fall though. And now it seems to be releasing pre-order availability for other big games.

You can also pre-order Hitman 3, Immortals: Fenyx Rising, and Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion. Chances are you may be able to pre-order Assassin’s Creed Valhalla before long too.

The game should be available to play at 1AM

According to the Stadia pre-order page, players should be able to dive into the game at 1AM. This is presumably Pacific Standard Time but the listing doesn’t specify. So it could just as easily be Eastern.

That timing makes things a tad bit interesting. Because the game releases on November 19, that means it should be available for anyone on consoles at midnight if they preload the game.

Many people who plan to pick this up on PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will no doubt make the attempt to preload it. Should they succeed to have it preloaded before the launch, they’ll be playing as soon as it goes live.

Which means they can technically play an hour before users on the Stadia platform. This is only a difference of an hour so it’s not likely to be a very big deal for many Stadia players. It’s simply an interesting decision.
