LG has launched a new pair of TWS earbuds under its LG TONE Free lineup called LG HBS-FN7. According to the company, the new LG TONE Free FN7 earbuds offer all the same features as the previously launched TONE Free FN6 variant and newly brings Active Noise Cancelation (ANC) support.
While the silicone ear tips will provide passive noise cancelation, the three microphones (2 outer + 1 inner) on each earbud will be canceling the unwanted noise to offer active noise cancelation. With ANC technology, the new LG TONE Free earbuds will be competing with the likes of Apple AirPods Pro and Samsung Galaxy Buds Live.
LG launches TONE Free FN7 earbuds with ANC
Introduced with the LG TONE Free FN6 in January, the company uses the same UVnano charging case even with the latest earbuds. The charging case will be using ultraviolet light to kill the bacteria on the earbuds. This process will happen automatically every time you keep the earbuds inside the case.
Therefore, the earbuds will be clean from any harmful bacteria when you use them next time. Another key feature of the LG TONE Free earbuds is Meridian-tuned premium sound experience with headphone spatial processing (HSP). Furthermore, users can choose between Meridian’s four EQ sound settings using the LG TONE Free app available on Android and iOS platforms.
The different EQ modes include Natural, Immersive, Bass Boost, and Treble Boost. The LEDs on the front of the case will indicate the case’s battery life and UVnano status. While the charging case comes packed with a 390mAh battery, each earbud features a 55mAh battery.
The UVnano charging case also supports wireless charging
With the ANC turned off, the earbuds will last up 7 hours on a single charge. However, the battery life comes down to just 5 hours with ANC turned on. The UVnano charging case can provide can two additional full charges. Additionally, it also supports wireless charging.
With the fast charging support, the earbuds can give 1 hour of playtime with just 5 minutes of charging. These new earbuds are also IPX4 certified for sweat resistance. On the connectivity front, the LG TONE Free FN7 earbuds come with the latest Bluetooth 5.1 support.
These new earbuds will be available in Stylish Black and Modern White color options. The LG TONE Free FN7 are now launched in South Korea for KRW 219,000 (approx. $194). However, the company has announced to launch these new earbuds in markets across North America, Europe, and Asia starting in the fourth quarter.
