The Samsung Galaxy Store Now Has A Bigger Focus On Gaming

Samsung is making a push to be the go-to location for mobile gamers, and to that end is redesigning the Galaxy Store to focus more on gaming.

For now, the Galaxy Store seems to have a focus on two major gaming icons. Fortnite, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. With Fortnite, the Galaxy Store is the only place where you can still download the game on an Android device aside from the Epic Games launcher. Since Google removed it from the Play Store following Epic Games’ violation of the Play Store policies earlier this year.

With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Samsung has an ongoing partnership with Microsoft. So you’ll probably be seeing plenty of highlights for the service in the Galaxy Store for a while.

Samsung streamlines Galaxy Store with a gaming tab and an apps tab

Two tabs. One for gaming, and one for apps. That’s what you can expect the next time you open up the Galaxy Store if you’re updated to the latest version of it.

Samsung’s choice here is to both streamline the design of the Galaxy Store so things are easier to find, and to cater more to mobile gamers. Through its partnership with both Epic Games and Microsoft, Samsung has been working hard to be seen as a brand that wants to be recognized by consumers who enjoy mobile games and games in general.

Whether those are consumers who are more casual gamers, or those who consider themselves more hardcore gamers. Wherever you stand personally, Samsung wants you to know that the Galaxy Store is the best place for your needs.

Don’t miss out on special perks

Through the games tab, players can access everything from some of the latest games to special perks and rewards that you’ll only find in the Galaxy Store.

This includes earning rewards points when you make purchases for games or on in-game content. And then you can turn around and use those rewards points for other games or in-game content, or other stuff too.

Samsung says the games tab also displays exclusive promos and previews. Which seems to suggest that you may get some sort of first-looks on upcoming games, whether that’s demos or just trailers, or perhaps timed exclusives on newly added content.

Either way, if you have a Galaxy smartphone, you might want to take a peek in the Galaxy Store from time to time if you’re a mobile gamer. Because Samsung seems keen on grabbing your attention.
