The Huawei Mate X2 will charge much faster than its competitor from Samsung, the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The Huawei Mate X2 (TET-AN00/TET-AN10) surfaced on the 3C website, which revealed its charging information.

The 3C authority in China is an official body for such certifications. Based on the report by 91mobiles, the Huawei Mate X2 will offer 66W fast charging. Just to be clear, we’re talking about wired charging here.

This listing also reveals that the phone will be 5G capable, though that’s something we already knew. This listing did not mention anything about wireless charging, though it never does, basically, so that’s not surprising.

The Huawei Mate X2 will likely offer wireless charging as well, though. Now, in comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 supports 25W fast wired charging. It also supports wireless charging, but it’s not nearly as fast.

The Huawei Mate X2 has been rumored for quite some time. The US sanctions on Huawei probably affected the development of this phone, otherwise it may have been announced by now.

We’re still not sure when exactly will this phone arrive, but Huawei is expected to announce it. It should arrive either by the end of this year, or in early 2021. It will be a direct competitor to the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

The phone is rumored to offer two displays, and a somewhat similar design to the Galaxy Z Fold 2. Four cameras are rumored to be included on the back of this phone, while an 8.3-inch main display with a 120Hz refresh rate has also been mentioned.

The Kirin 9000 SoC will fuel this smartphone, while we also expect Huawei to include a large battery. The phone will likely be made out of metal and glass, by the way. This handset will also be quite expensive, it may even rival the Galaxy Z Fold 2 price tag, we’ll see.
