Instagram Revamps Threads App With Updated Navigation & Status Tab

Its been a while since the Instagram Threads app, which is the company’s standalone messaging app, received an update. But that changes today, as a new update revamps the Threads app.

Notably, the update brings improved navigation and status tab. Moreover, the new update for the Threads app makes it possible for users to contact everyone, and not just your ‘close friends.’

The addition of new features does not end here. Threads app users will also be able to post photos and videos to their Instagram Stories as well. The Status tab will help users to stay in touch with their friends and interact with their statuses and stories.

Apparently, the navigation between tabs has also been improved and streamlined. This now allows users to switch between different tabs more seamlessly.

Previously, it was pretty difficult to move between different sections of the app. But with the new redesign of the Threads app, users can easily interact and view their friends’ statuses and their Stories.

Besides, Threads users can make use of the newly-redesigned app to quickly switch over to the Camera interface or the inbox. All thanks to the new navigation bar at the bottom of the Threads app.

Instagram Threads app navigation change that brings Status tab is already rolling out

Starting November 19, i.e. yesterday, Instagram has started rolling out this new revamped design, navigation bar with a status tab for the Threads app for all users.

Additionally, recent inbox change, which added a new tab for “Everyone Else,” is now available for all users across the globe with this new update.

All these new features make the Threads app a standalone app, that is now slowly becoming featureful. Just like all other social media apps that are owned by Facebook.

Messenger and Instagram have been under constant upgradation. And new features are being added to these apps on a regular basis. It seems like the Threads app will also gain some more new features in the coming months.

Instagram Threads app is still not a household name like other products from Facebook. The app is ranked no. 66 in the Photo & Video category on the U.S. App Store. While it stands at no. 1,031, overall.

According to the announcement, all these features will be available for users all over the globe.
