Nokia 9.3 PureView Delayed Yet Again, Not Coming In 2020

The Nokia 9.3 PureView was supposed to be the company’s flagship for 2020, but that won’t happen. This handset was supposed to launch by now, but that won’t happen.

Nokia anew exclusively reported that the phone won’t launch in 2020. It did, however, say that the Nokia 9.3 PureView is coming in the first half of next year. That is a contradictory report to what NokiaPowerUser reported.

Earlier this month, NPU reported that the Nokia 9.3 PureView may launch as Nokia 10, and that it’s still in early development. NPU also reported that the device may launch in H2 2021.

All other reports suggested that it will arrive by the end of 2020, but that won’t be the case. So, we’ll have to wait for quite some time, as it will arrive in either H1 or H2 2021.

The Nokia 9.3 PureView is delayed until H1 2021, but the exact launch date / month is still unknown

Nokia anew did note that the exact month of its launch is still unknown. We’ll have to wait in order to see how will it pan out. This sure is disappointing, though, as Nokia is losing even more momentum.

The Nokia 9 PureView was plagued by delays. One delay after another, and when it finally launched, it was basically too late. The fact the phone had its fair share of issues at first, and its cameras didn’t really compete with the best in the market, didn’t help.

Nokia was hoping to change that with the Nokia 9.3 PureView, in order to justify the PureView brand. Well, that may still happen, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer for it, is all.

Considering that the phone is coming in H1 or H2 next year, we’re hoping that it will include the upcoming Snapdragon 875. It wouldn’t make much sense for Nokia to include the Snapdragon 865 at that point.

The phone will likely ship with Android 11, and be made out of metal and glass. We’re also expecting thin bezels, and quite a few camera sensors on the back. Its predecessor had five cameras on the back.
