OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition Is Official… And Different

OnePlus has officially announced the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition smartphone. This handset has been announced in China, as OnePlus teased last week. This smartphone does not only come with a different name and paint job, however.

The moment you look at the phone’s back, you’ll notice it’s different from the regular model. This phone comes with a much larger camera module on the back. Its camera module takes up a large part of the phone’s back, even though the cameras are not different.

Its cameras are placed in the top-left corner of the camera module, while the Cyberpunk branding is on the right. That camera module does protrude on the back, quite a bit.

The OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition comes with a somewhat different design

The phone is still made out of metal and glass, though. It does adopt a new CMF design, and a special snow AG glass finish. There is also a forged carbon fiber texture here, with Cyberpunk 2077 engraving.

You’ll still get all the physical buttons you’d expect. The power / lock, volume up, and volume down buttons are here. OnePlus’ alert slider is also included on the phone, it’s placed on the right-hand side.

This phone comes with some Cyberpunk 2077 live wallpapers, the logo of Wu Shi Band, and it can also simulate notification light effect with the flickering effect when you power it on.

The phone also packs in some customized system sound effects. It comes with two custom filters, ‘Night City’ and ‘Northern California’. Those two reflect the day and night of the Night City in the Cyberpunk 2077 game. Speaking of which, that game was delayed recently, and will launch in mid-December.

OnePlus also packs in a customized luminous mobile phone case with this smartphone. Six limited edition badges are included in the box as well. The specifications of this smartphone are identical to the ones on the regular OnePlus 8T.

It comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage

It is worth noting that the phone comes in a single variant only, though, it packs in 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone is priced at CNY3,999 ($597) in China, and it is already available to pre-order. It will go on sale from November 11.

We’re not sure if this model will hit global markets, but if it does, it will ship with OxygenOS, not HydrogenOS, as the Chinese model does. OnePlus is expected to share more information soon.
