UPDATE: Max Jambor retracted his comment regarding the accuracy of this design. He admitted he was wrong, so it turns out this design may actually be accurate.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE: The OnePlus 9 design has seemingly been revealed by 91mobiles, but that image may be inaccurate. Now, 91mobiles claims this is a CAD render of the OnePlus 9, and the source is usually accurate when it comes to leaks.
So, what’s the problem? Well, Max Jambor, who is sort of a benchmark for OnePlus leaks, disagrees with this info. He retweeted the article along with a GIF that clearly says he disagrees with the info.
On top of that, he said that we all should take that post with a “good amount of salt”. He promised to further investigate, but he was able to tell, straight away, that the provided CAD render is inaccurate.
That’s all the information that Max Jambor shared, but we’re inclined to believe it. That being said, before we even start talking about what leaked, take it with a grain of salt.
This OnePlus 9 design is probably inaccurate, we’re not sure about the rest
The render 91mobiles shared shows a phone that has thin bezels, and a display camera hole in the top-left corner. It also includes three cameras on the back, one of which is extremely small. Glass seems to be covering the back side of the device, and the phone seems to be very narrow.
The source also notes that the OnePlus 9 will feature a larger display than the OnePlus 8T, which means it will be larger than 6.55 inches. Do note this is the regular OnePlus 9, not the ‘Pro’ model.
It is also mentioned that its display will be flat, and offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The back of the phone will be curved, according to 91mobiles, while a rectangular camera module will be included on the back.
The source also mentioned that the OnePlus 9 series may launch earlier next year, based on previous rumors. It may arrive in mid-March, instead of May… but we’ll see how accurate that is.
We’re expecting Max Jambor to share more information regarding this soon. For now, take this information with a grain of salt, as he seems to disagree with what was shared here.
