OnePlus is one of the smartphone brands that had quite a bunch of launches this year. And the upcoming OnePlus 9 series is rumored to have more than three models.
If this rumor becomes true, then OnePlus would be breaking its old tradition of bringing out two models for its flagships, i.e. the normal OnePlus device and a Pro variant of it.
OnePlus did some new things this year. Notably, it released mid-range devices like the OnePlus Nord, Nord N100, and Nord N10. The company created a new lineup of mid-range devices.
Moreover, the company did not release a Pro model for its OnePlus 8T device. Instead, OnePlus packed all the best features that it could bring to a T series smartphone in the OnePlus 8T.
The reason was simple. There was not much room to include heavy-duty specs and come out with a Pro variant, as all the best possible specs were included in the OnePlus 8T.
But now, a new tweet by TechDroider speculates that the OnePlus 9 series will bring three models. This is backed by some information on the Chinese social networking website, Weibo.
OnePlus 9 lineup is internally called ‘Lemonade’ and is expected to release in mid-March
To give you some context, the OnePlus 9 series is internally called “Lemonade”. Besides, the phone is expected to be released, somewhere in mid-March, which is the usual time the OnePlus flagship is launched.
OnePlus 9 bears model number LE2110. Surprisingly, it is speculated that the OnePlus 9 Pro will come in three variants with model number LE2117, LE2119, and LE2120.
Apart from all these model numbers, there are another model number LE2127 that has been surfacing the internet. And by the looks of it has a distance model number and it would be different from the OnePlus 9 model.
Are we looking at another mid-range device from OnePlus in 2021? Well, we will have to wait for next year to commence. More leaks would also help to clear out the picture.
Currently, it is not clear which model number corresponds to which device. However, the Chinese information claims that the third version will be a device that will sit between OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.
As far as the specs of the OnePlus 9 lineup is concerned, it is still kept under tight wraps. On the safe side, we can assume that it will come powered with a Snapdragon 875 chipset, will have a 144Hz refresh rate display.
The punch hole would now be centered to attain symmetry, support 40W WARP charging with IP68 water resistance. And an upgraded camera module, which is now long overdue.
There's LE2127 Also🤔No Information if it is a part of OnePlus 9 or OnePlus 9 Pro. https://t.co/HSCVX07ppp
