A rather interesting report has surfaced in Korea. It comes from ajunews publication (via Max Weinbach), and it shares a ton of information about some of the recent Samsung-related rumors. Samsung allegedly confirmed the death of the Galaxy Note series, along with some Galaxy Z Fold 3 info, and more.
The death of the Galaxy Note series is near, it seems
First thing’s first, the Galaxy Note series. The Galaxy Note series has been rumored to be completely replaced by the Galaxy Z Fold series for a while now. It was expected to happen in 2022, but a recent report suggested it will happen next year.
Well, this report seconds that, and the information allegedly came from Samsung. That being said, the Galaxy Note 20 and 20 Ultra will be the last Note-branded devices from the company.
This report also suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will include an S Pen, which makes sense. The device has been rumored to include the S Pen for a while, and considering that the Galaxy Note series is going away… well, that’s a given.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 could become the company’s first smartphone with under-display camera
That’s not all, though. The under-display camera has also been mentioned by the source, and that’s the same information that surfaced recently. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 could be the first Samsung-branded phone to offer an under-display camera.
Some of you are probably wondering when will that phone arrive. Well, according to this report, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is coming in June next year. The name of the device has also been confirmed by Samsung, allegedly.
Do take all of this information with a grain of salt, though. Samsung did not officially announce any of these, via official sources, so… it could be false. Chances are it isn’t, well, at least most of it isn’t. We’ll see, though. 2021 is shaping up to be quite an eventful year for the company. As a reminder, the Galaxy S21 series is expected to arrive in either January or February.
