LG Rollable Smartphone To Launch Sooner Than Expected

LG is planning to launch a rollable smartphone in 2021, and it seems like that device will arrive sooner than expected. According to a report by ETNews, the LG Rollable smartphone will launch in March 2021.

The LG Rollable will probably launch sooner than expected

Yes, that is the name of the device, LG Rollable. It’s not the most innovative name out there, but it describes the phone perfectly. That handset was supposed to launch late in H1 2021, at least that’s what the reports have been saying.

It seems like LG is opting for an earlier launch. As a side note, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) will take place in the summer of 2021, not in February-March. So, LG will get all the attention, especially considering that the Galaxy S21 series is coming in January, not the end of February.

The LG Rollable will become the second smartphone as part of the company’s Explorer Project. The first phone was the LG Wing, which launched earlier this year. LG is planning to announce quite a few interesting devices as part of that project.

The device’s display will expand from 6.8 to 7.4 inches

In any case, the LG Rollable is said to feature a 6.8-inch display that expands to 7.4 inches. LG did tease this smartphone earlier this year, but the company didn’t exactly share a lot of information.

Now, the LG Rollable is not the only interesting smartphone LG is planning to announce next year. The LG Rainbow will become the company’s new, regular flagship. That is probably just its codename, though.

That handset is also expected to arrive in early 2021, along with the LG Q83, LG’s mid-range handset. So, it seems like LG has some big plans for early 2021, as it’s trying to regain old glory.

The LG Rollable is, without a doubt, the most interesting handset the company will launch. The OPPO X 2021 is the first rollable smartphone that got announced, as OPPO showed a working unit, but that handset won’t become available to purchase anytime soon.

LG will probably be the first company to offer a rollable smartphone to its consumers.
