The Galaxy Buds Pro are shaping up to be the best truly wireless (TWS) earphones from Samsung ever. Countless certification documents, leaks, and rumors over the past few weeks mean we can already paint a fairly comprehensive picture of the upcoming wearables. Now, we have high-quality, close-up, unwatermarked renders of the Galaxy Buds Pro and they look beautiful.
Roland Quandt from Winfuture shared these images on Twitter. The images show the Phantom Violet colored renders of the Galaxy Buds Pro from a very close range. As you can see in the gallery below, the new Samsung TWS earphones feature an in-ear canal-type design.
The design language is not overly different from the original Galaxy Buds or Buds+, unlike the Galaxy Buds Live, which features an open-ear type design. However, the Galaxy Buds Pro has the ear tips slightly more oval-shaped than the more rounded ones found on the Galaxy Buds+. Additionally, the new buds also look slightly more conical in shape. This should allow for a better and deeper fit in the ear.
Each bud has a wear detection sensor, three microphones, and a 2-way speaker. The charging-cum-storing case looks very similar to that of the Galaxy Buds Live. The rounded square-shaped case has the Samsung logo along with the “sound by AKG” branding at the top.
There are two LED indicators on the case, one on the inside and the other on the outside. A USB Type-C port can be seen on the backside. The Galaxy Buds Pro supports fast wired charging as well as wireless charging.
Galaxy Buds Pro are nicely priced as well
A major leak earlier this week revealed that the Galaxy Buds Pro will be priced at $199 at launch. That makes them the most expensive TWS earphones from Samsung to date. However, they are still very well-priced for what they offer.
For the very first time, Samsung is offering 3D spatial audio for videos. The feature, that uses head-tracking to change the direction of the sound based on the position of your phone, is already available on Apple’s AirPods Pro and AirPods Max.
The Galaxy Buds Pro also gets an improved, multi-level ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) and Ambient Sound mode. Instead of a simple toggle to turn on/off ANC, users get multiple noise cancellation levels from full ANC to full HearThrough. There are four volume settings for Ambient Sound mode as well.
Conversation mode, Bixby integration, and an IPX7 rating for sweat and water resistance are some other notable features of the Galaxy Buds Pro. The buds are expected to arrive alongside the Galaxy S21 series on January 14, 2021.
