A leak has popped up with two press images that show off what is believed to be the new Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro are likely to be the successor to the Galaxy Buds Live. The true wireless earbuds shaped like beans that were released earlier in 2020. So far the Galaxy Buds Pro have shown up at the FCC in addition to today’s leak, though no images were attached to those filings.
It’s also been leaked before, with the leaks discussing a few specs of the upcoming true wireless earbuds. The Galaxy Buds Pro for example are thought to come with a 427mAh battery case. Though nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro leak shows the earbuds in a violet color
Samsung tends to launch its devices in multiple colors these days. Something it has also started doing is launching colors of the earbuds and cases that match the available colors of its latest Galaxy devices.
The Galaxy Buds Live were released in Mystic Bronze, Black, White, and Red. All four colors are available on the Galaxy Note 20 as well. For the Galaxy Buds Pro, the images show the earbuds and the case in a Violet color.
So it’s possible that Samsung will be releasing a Galaxy S21 device in the same Violet color to match the earbuds. Samsung is expected to show off these new devices at its upcoming CES virtual event that will happen in January 2021.
Which means it’ll only be about a month before the color options are potentially revealed.
The earbuds appear to have noise cancelling microphones
There aren’t really any features or specs mentioned in the leaks yet, save the for the battery in the case. The leaked images however, do show what appear to be the noise cancelling microphones on these earbuds.
Which means Samsung has decided to keep this feature as it was available on the Galaxy Buds Live. The case also keeps the same shape as that of the Galaxy buds Live. Though the shape of the earbuds themselves has obviously been changed. Now, it seems that Samsung has ditched the beans shape and gone back to something that’s more in line with the previous Galaxy Buds models.
Perhaps Samsung didn’t like that everyone was calling them Galaxy Beans. Or maybe it just felt that this design was more practical for the features and hardware it wanted to use.
