To everyone’s surprise, Samsung has now started rolling out the stable Android 11 One UI 3.0 update for the Galaxy S10 Lite smartphone. This is when the update for other Galaxy S10 devices is not out yet.
In fact, many of the modern Galaxy smartphones have not yet started receiving the Android 11 One UI 3.0 update. Whatever the case may be, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite users may be pretty happy reading this report.
FYI, Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 Lite right in February 2020. The phone is powered by the 2019’s Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 6/8GB of RAM.
Talking about the Android 11 One UI 3.0 update, along with all the latest features from Android 11, the update also packs all the goodies from Samsung’s own One UI.
Moreover, on top of all the features, it also bumps the security patch level of the device to the latest December 2020. All in all, this is quite a Christmas surprise for all the Galaxy S10 Lite owners.
It arrives with build DTL1 and weighs around 2.1 GB in size. So, make sure that you have a stable WiFi or internet connection while downloading this update to avoid interruptions.
Galaxy S10 Lite is currently receiving the Android 11 update in India & Spain
One UI 3.0 bundle features like Quick Settings toggle, notification bubbles, redesigned volume controls, revamped home screen design, new icons, video enhancer, improved privacy and security controls, and much more.
The important thing to note is that this update does not include Samsung DeX (wired or wireless) feature.
As noted by SamMobile, the Android 11 One UI 3.0 update is currently rolling out for Galaxy S10 Lite users in India and Spain. We expect the rollout to expand to more regions in the coming days.
If you reside in either of the regions and have not yet received the Android 11 One UI 3.0 stable update on your device, then you can manually check for it. Simply head over to “Settings.” Then navigate to “System updates.” From there, tap the “Download and install” option.
You can proceed with downloading and installation of the update if a new update is available. It is possible that the update won’t be available straight away. So, you may need to wait for the rollout to expand for more users.
Notably, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite did not have the same update schedule as other Galaxy S10 devices. However, this doesn’t mean that the Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ will get the update right away.
For them, we assume that the beta program may run a bit longer and the stable update could come at a later stage.
