The latest report from Xperiablog.net confirms that Sony Xperia 1 II is now grabbing the stable Android 11 update. Notably, the update is rolling out for Taiwanese users only at the moment.
It almost three months since the arrival of the Android 11 update. OEMs like Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi have already delivered stable Android 11 updates to some of their devices.
Other smartphone manufacturers are still either testing out the waters or prepping up for the release of Android 11 OS for their devices. Good thing is that Sony Xperia 1 II users can taste the new features of Android 11 right away.
Although the update is limited to Taiwan, a wider rollout is expected to begin pretty soon. The latest Sony Xperia 1 II Android 11 update bumps the version number from 58.0.A.3.224 to version 58.1.A.0.921.
However, the security patch level remains the same in November 2020. It would have been good to see Sony pushing the latest December 2020 security update. But can’t argue much on that one.
The size of the update is around 933MB. So, we would recommend a strong and uninterrupted internet connection to download this huge update.

We expect other models from Sony to also start receiving the stable Android 11 update soon. Sony Xperia 1 II was released back in May and it comes with a Snapdragon 865 chipset coupled with 8/12GB of RAM.
The phone offers 256GB of onboard storage and houses a triple-camera setup that provides all the pro functionalities, similar to what Sony offers on its pro-grade mirrorless and DSLR cameras.
Xperia 1 II features a 6.5-inch 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR OLED display, which produces brilliant colors and is great for media consumption. The Sony Xperia 1 II came with Android 10 out of the box, and this is the first firmware update that the phone is receiving.
