Google and Zynga have teamed up together to give you a new word game to play on your Nest devices.
Naturally since this is a game that’s meant to be run on Nest devices, guessing words and progressing through the game is all voice activated. The game is called Daily Word Wheel, and like any word game you’ll have to think hard to guess words and score points.
Wondering which Nest devices specifically? Wonder no more. Because Google has confirmed that the devices which are compatible with the new word game from Zynga includes more than just the Nest Hub Max. It includes multiple Google Assistant-connected devices.
Play the new word game from Zynga on Nest Hub Max and more
Daily Word Wheel is voice-activated. Which means you can talk to Google to start the game but you can also talk to Google to play the game.
However you don’t need to use your voice. Since it’s compatible with the Nest Hub Max the screen will work just fine as an input method for engaging with the content. Plus, you get a visual for the words on screen as well as which letters you have and where you can put words.
The game is compatible with other Google Assistant-powered devices too though. So you should be able to play it on the Nest Hub Max, Nest Hub, other Google Assistant-powered smart displays, the Nest Mini, the Google Home and Google Home Mini, and even the newly released Nest Audio.
You should also be able to play it on Android smartphone that have Google Assistant, or other smart speakers with Google Assistant. But Google doesn’t expressly mention these types of devices.
Daily Word Wheel will be available “soon”
If you’re eager to play the game, that’s understandable. Because it’s likely to be a fun party game to play with friends and family. But you’ll have to wait a bit.
Google says that Daily Word Wheel will be available “soon” on Google Nest Hub Max and other Google Assistant-connected devices. But it doesn’t give a firm date on the game’s actual availability.
After trying to activate the game by using the keyword, the results kicked back by Google found nothing. The keyword is Ok Google, play Daily Word Wheel. This means that the game may not be available to anyone just yet. It also may not be compatible with phones. Or it’s just rolling out in phases.
Either way, this is arriving just in time for the holidays. So if you have other people in the home, it might be a fun game to start up next week.
