The Xiaomi Mi 11 flagship is tipped to launch at the end of this month, on December 29. Do note that this information hasn’t been confirmed by Xiaomi, but comes from Gizmochina.
The site received this information from the same source that tipped them of the Mi Watch Lite launch date, and that was accurate. Therefore, there’s reason to believe this information is spot on as well.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 is expected to launch before the Galaxy S21
The Xiaomi Mi 11 was rumored to launch before the end of the year, so that checks out as well. This handset will likely become the very first Snapdragon 888 smartphone, at least when it comes to launching one.
The thing is, the source is not sure if this date is for the China launch, or a global launch. We’ll just have to wait and see what will happen. Having said that, the phone also surfaced.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 real-life images surfaced in the wild. If you take a look at the gallery below this paragraph, you’ll see the device itself. It has a rather interesting-looking rear-facing cameras, which surfaced in earlier renderings.
We’re not sure if this is the Xiaomi Mi 11, or the Mi 11 Pro, though. The Xiaomi MI 11 Pro is expected to include a 50-megapixel main camera, while the regular model may ship with that very same main shooter.
The Snapdragon 888 SoC will fuel both Mi 11 handsets
The Snapdragon 888 will fuel the Xiaomi Mi 11, as already mentioned. The device will be made out of metal and glass, with a display camera hole being placed in the top-left corner. Chances are that the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro will look the same, or almost the same.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro batteries will be almost 5,000mAh in capacity, around 4,800-4,900mAh on both. Both devices will support 55W fast wired charging. Wireless charging will be supported at least on the ‘Pro’ model, but we don’t have the details yet.
Android 11 will come pre-installed on both smartphones, along with MIUI 13. The Xiaomi Mi 11 will likely become available for purchase in early 2021.
