Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro Coming After All, Possibly In February

Xiaomi had announced its new flagship yesterday, the Mi 11. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro was not mentioned at all, but it seems like the device is coming after all. According to a new report, it will launch in February next year.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro may be coming after all, in Q1 2021

This information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese tipster, claims Pocketnow. He did not specifically mention February as a launch month, but he did say that it will happen after the Spring Festival. That comes down to mid-February.

So, considering the Xiaomi Mi 11’s top-of-the-line specifications, and design, you may wonder what can the ‘Pro’ model bring to the table? Well, the difference between the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro wasn’t that big, so the same will happen with their successors.

Now, the main difference, and perhaps the only one, may be seen in the camera setup. The Xiaomi Mi 11 does come with a compelling camera setup led by a 108-megapixel main unit. The thing is, the phone doesn’t have a telephoto or a periscope camera.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro may include a telephoto camera, in addition to a better ultra-wide camera. There’s no proof to back this up, for now, but that’s what could happen.

If the ‘Pro’ model arrives, it will have very similar specs to the Mi 11

If the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro launches at all, it will have almost identical specs to the Mi 11. The Snapdragon 888 SoC will fuel it, while you’ll get plenty of LPDDR5 RAM and a lot of storage as well.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 has a huge QHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling. That display is curved on all four sides. It’s a top of the line display, and the Mi 11 Pro can’t really improve upon that.

The device also comes with 55W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Chances are that the ‘Pro’ model will offer the same. It may ship with a slightly larger battery pack, though, we’ll see.
