Ausounds Peels Back The Wraps On Three New Audio Wearables At CES 2021

Ausounds is jumping into CES 2021 with no fewer than three new audio wearables for consideration. That includes at least one new product across three different categories. Including one new pair of sunglasses that doubles as a Bluetooth listening device.

AU-Frequency ANC is in-ear audio from Ausounds

The first Ausounds wearables product discussed in conjunction with CES 2021 was already launched as of late last year. Namely, that’s Ausounds’ AU-Frequency ANC. The true wireless in-ear buds cancel out external audio up to 22db and ship with a respectable frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz. For reference, that’s the average range of hearing for human ears.

PEEK + PU dynamic drivers are in use here as well. So the audio quality of these buds should be top-notch. Especially with consideration for their relatively low cost.

Stacking atop that, Ausounds claims a battery life of around 20-hours for these Bluetooth 5.0 active noise-canceling buds. That’s the will a full one-hour-and-fifteen-minute charge up, including the carrying case. The earbuds themselves last approximately 5-hours on a single charge without the case. And a total of 2-hours is needed to charge everything up subsequent charges, once everything’s drained.

While not the best battery life on the market, that’s better than average. But where Ausounds steps away from the average is its inclusion of features such as AI Voice Assistant and AI Call Voice Reduction.

AU-XT ANC builds on the Ausounds over-ear wearables lineup

Details about the remaining new products from Ausounds at CES 2021 are slim but intriguing, beginning with its new over-ear wearable, the AU-XT ANC. The over-ear headphones work via Bluetooth from a source up to 32 feet away. And they last for up to 30-hours on a single charge with an ANC depth of 28dB.

Under the sleek, comfortable-looking aesthetic, Ausounds AU-XT gets even better. That’s because Ausounds enhanced this entry in its CES 2021 wearables lineup with a 40mm Graphene driver. And that should equate to powerful audio across the range of frequencies audible to the human ear. So music, podcasts, movies, or any other sounds wearers might listen to will sound great.

Ausounds packed its audio wearables know-how into sunglasses with AU-Lens

Finally, with tech specs still being finalized as of this writing, Ausounds is launching a new pair of sunglass-style audio wearables at CES 2021. Dubbed AU-Lens, the new device is designed to look like any other pair of sunglasses. But with audio enabled in the arms.

Those are shown in two styles, black and brown as pictured above. And, as those images show, these aren’t necessarily going to look like an audio device. And that’s kind of the point. These listening-oriented sunglasses are meant to look like a fashion-forward accessory. And they do. So buyers can look good without the bulk of earbuds or headphones weighing them down. Or clashing with their look.

More details about AU-Lens will undoubtedly become available as launch approaches.

Pricing and availability

In terms of pricing and availability, only AU-Frequency and AU-XT presently have a price. And only AU-Frequency is available to purchase right now. Those start out at $129.95 while their incoming over-ear counterparts will start at $199.95. AU-XT ANC will launch — tentatively — on January 12.

For those more interested in an audio accessory that also serves as sunglasses, AU-Lens is a bit further out. Ausounds indicates those have a tentative launch of an undetermined date in February. Pricing for the wearable hasn’t been determined just yet either. But similar accessories have sold for upwards of $199 and as high as around $300. So a similar price range should be expected.
