OnePlus 7, 7T & Nord Are Next In Line To Get Android 11

OnePlus has revealed some details regarding upcoming updates for its devices. The OnePlus 7, 7T, and Nord are next in line to get Android 11 with OxygenOS 11. The company shared the info via its official forums.

As most of you know by now, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro received Android 11 a while back. The OnePlus 8T, on the other hand, ships with Android 11 and OxygenOS 11 out of the box.

The OnePlus 7, 7T, and Nord will be getting Android 11 soon, they’re next in line

Many people were wondering when will the update arrive to the OnePlus 7, 7T, and Nord devices. Well, it seems like that will happen in the near future. The very first OxygenOS 11 Open Beta build is coming to the OnePlus Nord next week.

When it comes to the OnePlus 7 and 7T, the company says that it has worked closely with Qualcomm, and that it is already running a closed beta test. The very first Open Beta builds for the two devices are coming soon.

OnePlus does not that the schedule may vary for models purchased from its carrier partners. If you’ve purchased a device from Verizon, T-Mobile, EE, or some of the other carriers, you’ll need to wait a bit longer.

The OnePlus 6, 6T, Nord 10 5G, and Nord 100 will also get the update at some point

OnePlus also touched upon the OnePlus 6, 6T, Nord 10 5G, and Nord 100. Android 11 is coming to all those devices, but OnePlus did not share the specifics. All it said is that it will keep everyone posted on more details at a later date.

If you own the OnePlus 5 or 5T, I’m afraid this is the end of the line for you. Neither of those two devices will get Android 11 at all. Android 10 was the last big update for both smartphones.

There you have it. You can expect Open Beta builds for the OnePlus 7, 7T, and Nord really soon. A stable release will follow after a couple of Open Beta builds get released, and bugs get squashed. So, we’re still at least a month away from a stable build.
