You're Going To Want This Samsung Robot

Robots aren’t new to CES. Companies almost always show off new robots at CES every single year. And this year, Samsung had a few to show off, including the Bot Handy. This is a robot you will want, for sure.

Bot Handy is going to be able to pick up laundry, load the dishwasher, set the table, pour wine, and even bring you a drink. Sounds pretty good right? Don’t get to excited though, a lot of the robots shown off at CES never actually come out. Anyone remember Ballie from CES 2020?

Bot Handy is a tall and thin robot that is black and white. It has two large digital eyes that are able to change expressions as it moves around your home. It has a single arm that can pivot in three points. And it has a clamp-like hand at the end. Samsung has cameras all over the robot’s body, so it can recognize objects and where it is in the home.

This is meant to be an “extension of you in the kitchen”

According to Samsung, Bot Handy is meant to be an “extension of you in the kitchen, living room, and anywhere else you may need an extra hand in your home.” Which explains why it can do so many different things.

Samsung also says that it will be able to recognize objects using a camera and AI.

As mentioned, it’s unclear when or if Bot Handy will actually be shipping. But it is a pretty cool product to say the least. And it if does ever become available to purchase, it won’t be cheap. According to Samsung, it is “in development” still.

This is just one of many different futuristic-looking products at CES. Samsung among many other companies do take to CES to show off some futuristic-looking products, including robots. And unfortunately, a lot of those products do not come out for consumers to buy.
