A new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 concept has appeared, this time in video format. This concept design comes from the Concept Creator, in collaboration with LetsgodigitalLetsgodigital. The video has been published on the Concept Creator’s official YouTube channel.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 concept video envisions an under-display camera & S Pen
In this video, you’ll see a device that resembles the Galaxy Z Fold 2, to a degree. This handset doesn’t include a display camera hole(s), though, while it does come with the S Pen stylus. You’ll also notice that it has a dock for that stylus.
Now, the designer envisioned an under-display camera for this smartphone. That is something that rumors already hinted may happen with the real Galaxy Z Fold 3. We’re not as convinced, as the technology may not be ready in Samsung’s eyes.
In any case, this concept smartphone is made out of metal and glass. It includes three cameras on the back, and it opens up like a book, the same as the Galaxy Z Fold 2. It’s an inward-folding smartphone.
This camera setup resembles the one on the Galaxy S21 & S21+
Its camera setup on the back resembles the one that the Galaxy S21 and S21+ will offer. Right down to the design of the camera housing, which is an extension of the frame.
You’ll also notice speaker grilles on the bottom of this phone, and a fingerprint scanner on the side. A Type-C USB port is also placed at the bottom of the device.
This Galaxy Z Fold 3 concept smartphone does have extremely thin bezels. Those bezels seem a bit thinner than the ones on the Galaxy Z Fold 2, and the exclusion of a display camera hole only helps the general impression.
The real Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to arrive in the second half of the year. It may launch in August, though we’re far away from getting that confirmation from Samsung.
The Galaxy S21 series has Samsung’s complete focus at the moment. The company will announce three devices as part of it, and all three will become official on January 14.
