The Galaxy Tab Active 3 was first introduced by Samsung back in September. However, it was available in markets, including Europe and Asia. Finally, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 rugged tablet is now available for users in the U.S.
As per the official blog, this is the first tablet to come with an Enterprise Edition. This means that it will get one year of Knox Suite and up to five years of security updates.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 is the successor to the popular Tab Active 2 which is meant to be used in the harshest of environments. Thanks to its military-grade ruggedness, the tablet can help boost productivity whether indoors, on the road, or in the field.
Samsung has promised three generations of Android OS upgrades. It is a nice thing as the tablet ships with Android 10 out of the box. In fact, the company is planning to roll out the Android 11 update soon for the tablet.
The upcoming Android 11 update will add the Tab Active 3 to Google’s list of Android Enterprise Recommended devices. On top of that, this device also supports Samsung Dex, which provides a desktop-like experience.
