The Xiaomi Mi 11 got announced at the end of last year. That phone is immensely powerful, and could easily stand as the only flagship from the company for the foreseeable future. Well, based on rumors, Xiaomi is planning to up the ante with the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro soon, and that device is rumored to offer 120x camera zoom support.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro may offer a quad camera setup with 120x zoom support
This information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese tipster. He went to Weibo to share the news. The device is expected to offer four rear-facing cameras, while the regular model offers three.
The ‘Pro’ model is tipped to offer the exact same display as the Mi 11. That means we’ll get a 6.8-inch QHD+ curved panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Yes, that is an OLED panel.
The Snapdragon 888 is also expected to be included inside the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, the very same chip that fuels the Mi 11. Android 11 will come pre-installed as well, along with a new version of Mi 11.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will actually be quite similar to the Mi 11, by the looks of it. That is in line with the Mi 10 series. One of the main differences will be visible in the camera department, mainly in that periscope camera.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra offers 100x ‘Space Zoom’ feature
Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra flagship launched recently with 100x ‘Space Zoom’ camera functionality. That feature works really well, and it remains to be seen what will Xiaomi be able to offer this time around.
You can’t expect such images to be great, but they can be usable. Do note that this is just a rumor at this point, though, nothing has been confirmed.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 did not launch globally just yet. The phone got announced in China, while the global launch is set to follow soon. Xiaomi may even announce both devices at the same time in the global markets.
That launch event is expected to happen soon, though. Many users outside of China are eagerly waiting for the Mi 11 to become official, as it has a lot to offer for its price tag.
