Last year, ZTE released the first smartphone in the world called ZTE Axon 20 that featured the under-display front camera. Now, as per a teaser, ZTE is ready to soon launch the successor, ZTE Axon 30 Pro 5G.
An official teaser shared on Weibo by the official ZTE handle shares the outline of the upcoming ZTE Axon 30 Pro 5G smartphone. The impressive thing about the teaser was the unusual shape on the left of the camera module.
Well, ZTE Axon 30 Pro 5G will be one of the three devices that ZTE confirmed back in December 2020 to be launched. The three devices including Axon 30, Nubia Z, and Red Magic 6 will come with Snapdragon 888 SoC.
Yesterday, ZTE President Ni Fei made a Weibo post to confirm the arrival of the ZTE Axon 30 Pro. Additionally, he stated it will equip the industry’s pioneering imaging system. However, nothing much has been revealed about the camera specs.
ZTE is expected to launch two models of the Axon 30, i.e. Axon 30 and Axon 30 Pro. Both phones will come with the second-generation under-display front camera setup.
Since the first-gen under-display camera on the Axon 20 did not produce great results, there are higher expectations from this new version devices.
ZTE Axon 30 Pro 5G may launch after the Chinese New Year on February 12
The shared teaser did not reveal much about the device, but the more you look at it, the more your mind goes into guessing mode regarding the design of the phone. Perks of being a smartphone enthusiast.
Out of the Axon 30 and 30 Pro, the latter will be fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. There is not much information available regarding the processor on the Axon 30.
As far as the launch date is concerned, we speculate ZTE may debut Axon 30 lineup right after Chinese New Year on February 12. But that remains to be seen, as there is no official confirmation on this.
This is nice to see ZTE joining the flagship bandwagon with the ZTE Axon 30 series because the Axon 20 lineup never got a proper flagship chipset.
It would have been nicer if some information regarding the cameras on the ZTE Axon 30 Pro was revealed. But it may be too early to expect all such information.
The ZTE Axon 30 Pro may come with a large battery, fast charging support, and up to 12GB of RAM. All these specs because it carries the suffix “Pro” with it.
