The Black Shark 4 Pro Looks Very Unassuming For A Gaming Phone

Gaming phones all have at least one major thing in common, but the Black Shark 4 Pro appears to be breaking away from that a little bit.

When it comes to gaming phones, they almost always look like gaming phones. Like the ROG Phone 3. The Black Shark 4 Pro however, looks nothing like a gaming phone in the traditional sense. Especially not when compared to past iterations from Black Shark.

While the latest gaming device from Black Shark hasn’t been officially announced yet, images of the device have popped up alongside details of the phone in a TENAA certification. The phone can be seen from the front and the back as well as both sides.

Looking at the design, Black Shark seems to have gone with a more subtle approach this time around

The Black Shark 4 Pro could be an undercover gaming powerhouse

The color definitely stands out more. But the very pronounced angles, bright green logo, and loud design elements are all gone.

In their place is a very somber blue color and flat back surface. No crazy angular designs. No bright green. And from the looks of it, maybe no RGB lighting. The Black Shark logo is still there, but it’s much less pronounced.

If this is the final design that will end up in consumer hands, Black Shark may be on to something. The designs of gaming phones have always been rather eccentric. Functionally they tend to provide a great experience.

But aesthetically, they give out a “look at me I’m a gamer” vibe. There’s nothing inherently wrong with this of course. And design is always a personal preference. That being said, Black Shark must feel that it was time to try something a little different.

This design seems to be the product of those decisions.

The device will have a triple camera array on the back

Aside from the more subtle design, the Black Shark 4 Pro will have some other changes coming to it.

It appears to come with a triple camera array on the back which suggests it will have more photo capabilities than previous devices. It’s also fairly bare on one side with a single button and the SIM card tray.

Meanwhile the other side has multiple buttons. Two of which are almost certainly shoulder triggers for enhanced mobile gameplay. The device also now has a punch hole camera for the front camera that sits in the center along the top edge.

As for the specs, there are a few details that were listed. Including 12GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. As well as a screen resolution of FullHD+. One or all of these things could always change before the phone’s official release.

But so far the phone is shaping up to be a capable gaming phone.
