Get Colorful, Truly Interactive New Wallpapers With SwirlWalls

Smartphone wallpapers are all about personalizing aesthetics but those who want interactivity too may want to check out SwirlWalls: Interactive UHD Wallpaper Backgrounds. The new app, reportedly designed by Action Launcher’s Chris Lacy, delivers more than 140 custom, swirl-themed wallpapers. Each with its own color theming from bright colors to deep black hues. But they go much further than adding a splash of your favorite colors.

Here’s what assets SwirlWalls apart from similar apps

All of the Swirl of SwirlWalls’ wallpaper styles are, to begin with, available in 10 or more “remixes.” Those offer deeper customization of the active wallpapers. Users can first select the wallpaper they like, and then the color scheme that best suits them. And that includes full support for dark theming, with every wallpaper offering several “dark remixes” with automatic switching. The switching, of course, is based on the system-level dark or light mode selection in Settings.

Better still, each of SwirlWalls’ wallpapers is animated and interactive, as the branding suggests. Namely, they can be made to swirl and spin based on gesture interactions. In effect, matching modern UI interactions with a wallpaper that responds to those interactions.

Those gestures and the response from SwirlWalls are configurable. And users can even set things up to switch wallpapers on select gestures. Or set a gesture to work on the Lock screen.

That’s all on top of in-app Settings to tweak wallpapers from dimming, status bar tinting, and navigation bar theming to rotation speed adjustment and more. And, with the FlickFX feature, users can even interact with device motion gestures, For example, flicking the phone in a left or right direction.

Last but not least, SwirlWalls utilizes dynamic render speeds. So it will match a phone’s refresh rate to ensure the highest quality possible for any given device.

This one’s not free but that shouldn’t be an issue

Now, SwirlWalls does presently cost $4.99 to buy but, as noted by the developer and as with any paid apps, users can always ask for a refund if they don’t like it. And, perhaps as importantly, there are no subscriptions, ads, or in-app purchases to worry about either.
