Google Fi is adding three new Motorola phones to its growing library of devices. The Moto G Play (2021), Moto G Power (2021), and the Motorola One 5G Ace are all now available through Google’s MVNO (mobile virtual network operator).
Google already sells last year’s version of the Moto G Power as well as the Moto G Stylus through Fi. The latest additions take the total number of Motorola phones on the MVNO to five. All of these devices are currently available for free with Fi service credit.
More Motorola phones arrive on Google Fi
The Moto G Play (2021) is the most affordable of the newly-added trio. Priced at $99, the handset features a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720) LCD screen and is powered by the Snapdragon 460 chipset. It gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 512GB via a MicroSD Card.
There’s a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone gets a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. It runs Android 10 out of the box.
Other key features include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB Type-C port, and GPS support. The whole setup is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery that charges at 10W speeds.
The Moto G Power (2021) is slightly expensive at $199 and also offers slightly better specs. It features a similar 6.6-inch HD+ (1600 x 720) LCD screen but a significantly more powerful Snapdragon 662 processor. Motorola is also offering 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity with this phone. The handset supports MicroSD cards of up to 512GB capacity.
This phone also gets a triple-camera setup on the back. The 48-megapixel primary camera is flanked by a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel sensor. The Moto G Power (2021) has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Its 5,000mAh battery also charges at slightly faster 15W speeds.
Motorola One 5G Ace makes 5G more affordable
The Motorola One 5G Ace is the most expensive Motorola phone in Google Fi’s library. Priced at $279, this phone does a little bit of everything. It sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2400×1080) IPS LCD screen with a centered punch-hole cutout.
Under the hood is the Snapdragon 750G processor that brings 5G support at affordable prices. Unfortunately, Google Fi is only offering this phone with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. Motorola also sells the device in a 4GB + 64GB memory configuration but it’s not available via the MVNO. You can still expand the storage capacity to up to 1TB via a micro SD card though.
There’s a triple-camera setup on the back of this phone, consisting of a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel sensor.
The Motorola One 5G Ace also runs Android 10 out of the box. It packs a 5,000mAh battery that charges at 15W speeds over a USB Type-C port. Other key features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS.
