OnePlus Watch Sketches Shed Some Light On Its Design

The OnePlus Watch sketches have just surfaced, it seems. This information comes from TechnikNews and Nils Ahrensmeier, who is also a tipster. The thing is, these sketches have originally been shared by OnePlus itself.

These sketches reveal two OnePlus Watch designs, kind of

How, you wonder? Well, OnePlus submitted them to the German Patent and Trademark Office. Do note that the company has submitted two designs to the DPMA. One design represents a “normal” watch, while the other offers a more sporty look. The difference is only in the wristband, though.

Just because these sketches have been shared by OnePlus, doesn’t automatically mean this is the final design. Keep that in mind. It is possible that OnePlus will utilize one of these two designs, though.

These sketches surely do represent something that is close to the final design, at the very least. We now have an idea in what direction is OnePlus going with its first smartwatch.

Both of these designs show us a smartwatch with a round display. That is to be expected, as Max Jambor revealed quite some time ago that OnePlus will utilize such a design.

The first design comes with a sporty, silicone band

The first design has a sporty band. We cannot be sure, but this seems to be a silicone wristband, similar to some of those that Apple sells with its Apple Watch smartwatches. There are two buttons on the side here.

On the back of this watch, there are four sensors included, probably for blood pressure and so on. There are also two pins there, which suggests that the watch won’t utilize wireless charging, unfortunately.

The second design utilizes a leather band

The second design shows us the same smartwatch (though maybe a bit larger), but with a different wristband. This will be a “normal” version, compared to the sporty look of the first design. This wristband seems to be made out of leather, but we’re only guessing.

The OnePlus Watch is expected to launch in March, alongside the OnePlus 9 series of smartphones. Do note that the launch event hasn’t been confirmed by the company just yet, so it’s all speculation at this point.
