Xiaomi Mi 11 Aces A Series Of Durability Tests: Video

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is the company’s brand new flagship smartphone, and it was submitted to a series of durability tests. These tests were performed by Zack from JerryRigEverything, as per usual.

He submitted the device to its standard set of tests, just to see how it stacks up against the competition. Spoiler alert, the Xiaomi Mi 11 did a really good job, which is something you can see in the video embedded below the article.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 got submitted to a series of durability tests in a new video

This video has a duration of around 6 minutes, so check it out if you’re interested. Alternatively, you can simply continue reading, we’ll cover the findings below.

The phone does come with a screen protector, which needed to be removed before the display scratch test. The phone’s display started scratching at a level 6, with deeper groves at a level 7. That is the standard, and exactly what we’d expect out of the Gorilla Glass Victus.

The phone’s frame is made out of metal, as are its buttons. The fingerprint scanner generally works really well, though it struggled a bit when the glass got seriously scratched up. That is to be expected, as this is an optical fingerprint scanner, but chances are your glass won’t get in this condition. Zack purposely damaged the glass that protects the display.

The phone’s display lasted for about 20 seconds being exposed to a lighter, before it turned white. It didn’t recover all the way. This is one of those somewhat pointless tests, as it brings you into a situation that you won’t find yourself in. The display did last quite a long time while being exposed to a source of fire, though.

The phone did great in the bend test as well

The Xiaomi Mi 11 did great in the bend test. It did bend a bit from both the front and the back, but it returned to its original position as soon as the pressure stopped. That was also the last test Zack performed. The Xiaomi Mi 11 seems to be a well-built phone.
