May 2021 Security Update Goes Live For Samsung Galaxy S10 Series

In a recent development, as per SamMobile, Samsung is now rolling out the latest May 2021 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S10 series.

Samsung is speeding up the process of updating its devices with the latest May 2021 security update. Since the last couple of weeks, it has updated quite a bunch of its devices with the latest security patch.

Now, the company has brought the latest May 2021 security update for the 2019 flagship devices, the Galaxy S10 lineup. Notably, the entire lineup, i.e. the Galaxy S10e, S10, and the Galaxy S10 Plus is receiving the update.

The May 2021 security update fixes a lot of vulnerabilities affecting Samsung’s own One UI software. It also brings bug fixes for Android OS as well. For more information, you can head over to the official Samsung Security Bulletin for the month of May.

More importantly, the May 2021 security update fixes a very critical botch, affecting millions of devices powered by Qualcomm chipsets. So, make sure to update your device with the latest security patch.

The size of the update is not known. But we would advise Galaxy S10 series owners to download the update via a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.

Moreover, the May 2021 security update is live for the Galaxy S10 series lineup in Europe. Users in Switzerland appear to be the first ones receiving the update.

Talking about the firmware version, it arrives as G97xFXXUAFUE3. Although users in Switzerland are the first ones to receive the update, we expect the update to expand over to more regions in Europe.

To give you some clarity, the update is rolling out for the Galaxy S10 series models, Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ with model numbers SM-G970F, SM-G973F, and SM-G975F.

If you have the eligible device and you reside in Europe, then you should have received an update notification for the May 2021 security update.

Do note Samsung is pushing this new May 2021 update for the Galaxy S10 lineup via OTA in batches. So, not everyone will receive the update right away.

However, if you haven’t received the update yet, then you can manually trigger it as well. For that, head over to Settings. Then tap on System updates. Finally, tap the Download and install option.

If a new update is available for your device, then the updater will detect the update and notify you. Simply, you can tap on the update notification to download the update.
