Sling TV is rolling out its new, redesigned app right now, starting with the Fire TV. However, as you probably expected, Sling TV will be rolling out the updated app to other platforms in the near future. Though it’s unclear when exactly that will happen.
What’s new with the Sling TV app?
So what all is new with this redesigned app for Sling TV? There’s a lot more personalization available with the Sling TV app now. There’s a new home screen which allow users to easily discover the most relevant content. Additionally, users are able to customize the Channel Guide by sorting A-Z, as well as by favorites and there are also filters available. So you can easily find what you’re looking for.
Sling TV is also adding new navigation with this update. So it is easier to find what you’re looking for, and discover new content. All while keeping a familiar feel that its users know and love. Sling TV users will be able to quickly browse through the Guide or see on-demand content. You can also easily pause, fast-forward, skip to live, or set a recording in a channel and manage all recordings with a new dedicated DVR tab.
Finally, the feature you’ll notice first, is the new beautiful design. The redesigned app features ribbons in different colors and sizes. And there are also expanded show visuals in the Guide that will help users discover content faster. And users can dive into their favorite channels by clicking on any channel logo to get the details.
It’s a pretty big update for the Sling TV app, and it’s going to be exciting to check it out once it makes its way to Android TV and other platforms. For now, you can check out some screens of the new app down below.
