Samsung has finally unveiled yet another 5G smartphone, the Galaxy F52 5G, which is actually quite affordable. Officially the Samsung Galaxy F52 5G phone costs less than the Galaxy A52 5G.
Well, Samsung already has a huge portfolio of smartphones. We have the S-series, A-series, M-series, and the F-series Galaxy phones. Adding one more smartphone to the F-series, Samsung launched an affordable Galaxy F52 5G device.
The price of the device is the talk of the town at the moment, thanks to the asking price, which is cheaper than the already cheaper Galaxy A52 5G smartphone.
Now coming to the specifications of the device, it comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ TFT LCD screen. And yes, it comes with the buttery smooth, 120Hz high refresh rate panel.
There is a hole punch on the display which houses a selfie camera. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset, which is quite a popular choice for affordable 5G phones.
It is coupled with 8GB of RAM and comes with 128GB of onboard storage. That’s not all though. The phone also comes with a microSD card slot, which gives an option to the user to further expand the storage on the phone.
Samsung Galaxy F52 5G comes with a 64MP primary camera
Talking about the cameras on the Galaxy F52 5G, it comes with a quad-camera setup. There is a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. Along with a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor.
Moreover, the phone also comes with the same 4,500 mAh battery that you can spot on the Galaxy A52 5G. It supports 25W wired charging, which is nice to have.
There are some downgrades as well. As noted by Android Central, there is an LCD display on the Galaxy F52 5G. Additionally, there is no IP rating on the phone. So, you have to protect your phone from water or dust.
Not that this is some sort of a downgrade, but the fingerprint scanner is placed on the side of the phone inside the power button. It would have been nice to see an in-display fingerprint scanner.
On the software front, the phone comes with Samsung’s latest One UI 3.1 which is based on the Android 11 operating system.
Instead of launching the phone exclusively in India, what Samsung has done for all the previous F-series phones, this time around, the Galaxy F52 5G is launching in China first.
The price of the phone is set at 1,999 yuan, which comes around $310 in the US. At present, there is no official word on whether the Galaxy F52 will be available in other markets as well.
