New Updates Rolling Out For The Galaxy S10 Lite, Note 10 Lite, A30s & A20

Samsung is on a roll today. The company has released new updates for as many as four smartphones. Its two affordable flagships, the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite, are receiving the latest June 2021 Android security patch while a couple of Galaxy A series phones, the Galaxy A30s and Galaxy A20, are getting the Android 11 update.

To begin with, the Galaxy S10 Lite is currently picking up the new security patch in Spain and Russia. The update comes with firmware version G770FXXU4EUF1 and might also include some minor improvements along with the latest security fixes. As detailed by Samsung earlier this week, the June security maintenance release (SMR) contains fixes for more than five dozen vulnerabilities found on Android OS and One UI.

The Galaxy Note 10 Lite is also currently getting the June security update in Spain. The latest update for this affordable S Pen wielding Galaxy smartphone bears firmware version N770FXXS7EUE5. It’s unlikely to bring any other changes apart from this month’s SER, of course.

The June update for Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite should expand to other territories in the coming days. If you own either of the two devices, you should get a notification to download the new software once it becomes available for your unit.

Galaxy A30s, Galaxy A20 get Android 11

In addition to releasing the June security update for Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite, Samsung has also started rolling out the Android 11 update for Galaxy A30s and Galaxy A20. As of this writing, both Galaxy A series phones are getting the latest Android version in Russia.

The Android 11 update for the Galaxy A30s comes with firmware version A307FNXXU2CUF2. It brings One UI 3.1 and the May 2021 security patch. The new update for the Galaxy A20, meanwhile, bears the firmware version A205FNPUUACUF1 and comes with the latest June 2021 security patch. It’s unclear whether this device gets One UI3.1 or One UI 3.0, though. Hopefully, the former, as it’s the latest iteration of Samsung’s custom Android skin.

Anyways, Android 11 brings tons of new features and improvements to Samsung smartphones. Support for chat heads, conversations section in the notifications area, improved privacy and security, and one-time permissions are some of the new features added by Google. Moreover, Samsung further offers a refreshed UI, improved stock apps, a feature-rich keyboard, more lock screen widgets, auto switch for Galaxy Buds, and tons of other add-ons with its One UI skin.

If you’re a Galaxy A30s or Galaxy A20 user in Russia, then Android 11 should now be available for you. Navigate to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install to download the new software. Users in other regions should also receive the latest update in the coming weeks.
