Galaxy M32 Launched With 6,000mAh Battery, 90Hz Super AMOLED Display

Samsung has launched a new budget smartphone, the Galaxy M32. The handset packs a strong punch at an affordable price, at least spec-wise. It shares a lot in common with the LTE variant of Samsung’s Galaxy A32 smartphone though.

Galaxy M32 specifications

The Galaxy M32 sports a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a U-shaped notch at the center. It is a 90Hz panel which, Samsung claims, is the best in the segment. The display comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and features a peak brightness of 800 nits.

MediaTek’s Helio G80 chipset powers this phone. Samsung is offering the phone in two memory configurations: 4GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. You can further expand the storage capacity by up to 1TB via a microSD slot.

For imaging, the Galaxy M32 features a quad-camera setup on the back consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens (123-degree field of view), a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s a 20-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The device supports Samsung’s My Filters feature which lets you create custom photo filters. You also get tons of camera modes like Hyperlapse, Slow motion, Food Mode, Pro mode, and AR zone.

The Galaxy M32 gets a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging over USB Type-C. However, Samsung is only bundling a 15W charger in the box. So you’ll have to separately buy a 25W charger if you want to take advantage of all its potentials.

The new Samsung smartphone expectedly runs Android 11 out of the box, with the Korean firm’s One UI skin (version 3.1) on top. Other key specs and features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, and GPS.

The Galaxy M32 also supports the AltZLife feature. It lets you quickly switch between normal mode and private mode (Secure Folder) with a simple double-click of the power button. Unfortunately, there’s no NFC or Samsung Pay support here. You only get Samsung Pay Mini.

Galaxy M32 price and availability

The Samsung Galaxy M32 will be initially available in India. The device will go on sale starting June 28th through Amazon, Samsung e-shop, and other retailers in the country. It is priced at ₹14,999 (approx. $200) for the 4GB+64GB model and ₹16,999 (~$230) for the 6GB+128GB model. Samsung is offering a ₹1,250 (~$17) instant cashback on purchases made through ICICI cards. The handset comes in Black and Light Blue color options.

While the Galaxy M32 might also be available for purchase in a few other Asian countries later on, it’s unlikely to come stateside. We will surely let you know if that changes in the future.
