The Samsung Galaxy S22 series display information has already surfaced. Samsung is expected to announce those phones in the first half of next year, so this is rather early. If it ends up sticking to its current release cycle, all three phones will arrive in January 2022.
The Galaxy S22 series display info already appeared online
That being said, the information has been shared by Mauri QHD, a tipster. He revealed the display sizes of all three phones, along with the display tech they’ll use. Based on what he said, we’re looking at three Galaxy S22, as expected.
He did not name those phones (except the ‘Ultra’ model), but he did list display sizes for all three. We presume that they’ll be called the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra, based on what we’ve seen this year.
The base Galaxy S22 will feature a 6.06-inch display, claims the source. The Galaxy S22+ will include a 6.55-inch display, while the ‘Ultra’ model will arrive with a 6.81-inch panel. Only the Galaxy S22 Ultra will feature an LTPO panel.
The Galaxy S22 and S22+ will, allegedly, feature LTPS displays. In other words, those two phones will not offer an adaptive refresh rate. That is a bit surprising, as we’ve expected all three to include LTPO displays.
This information may not be 100-percent accurate, though
Do note that this information surfaced quite early, and even the tipster claims he’s not 100-percent sure. He says this info is at least “7/8 correct”, which is a weird way to say it, but there you go.
He did not mention anything about the resolution, though. All three Galaxy S21 units include a QHD+ panel, so we’re presuming all three Galaxy S22 smartphones will as well.
Samsung will likely utilize a display camera hole once again with these phones. A recent rumor suggested that the Galaxy S22 series won’t sport an under-display camera. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will, but not Samsung’s next-gen flagships.
