It has now become a well-known fact that if you have a Samsung Galaxy device, chances are it will be among the first ones to receive the latest security update. Notably, as per a recent development, Galaxy Fold is the latest device from Samsung to bag the July 2021 security update.
Samsung is leading the baton with the release of the latest security updates. It started rolling out the July security update with the Galaxy S10 lineup way before the July month even began.
Then it was the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 to receive the upgrade to the latest security patch. And now, it is time for the first-generation foldable from Samsung, the Galaxy Fold to receive some care.
To recall, the Galaxy Fold launched with the Snapdragon 855 processor which was coupled with 12GB of RAM. Under the hood, the foldable came with a 4,380 mAh battery.
The device spotted a screen size of 7.3-inch and there was 512GB internal memory. It packed a triple camera setup at the back, while a dual-camera setup for selfies.

We recommend you update your Samsung Galaxy Fold with the latest security update available to fix bugs and severe vulnerabilities.
As always, the update is arriving via OTA in batches, meaning that it won’t be available for all the Galaxy Fold units right away. You have to wait for the update to go live in your region to download it.
Thankfully, you can trigger the update manually by heading over to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. The Galaxy Fold is likely to get updated with Android 11 One UI 3.1.1, which Samsung is currently developing. It is also eligible to bag the Android 12 One UI 4.0 update as well.
